This is a business website. It has no user accounts and no online ordering, and no payment details are collected anywhere on it.
Collection and processing of personal data
We collect personal data only where you choose to provide it — by sending an inquiry, requesting documents or a datasheet, or writing to us directly. Depending on the form you use, this may include your name, company, business email address, telephone number, destination market, and the product and requirement you describe.
We do not ask for financial details, payment card numbers or identification numbers of any kind, and no part of this website collects them.
Simply reading this website requires nothing from you.
Purposes of use
We use the data you provide in order to respond to you: to answer your inquiry, to send the catalogues, datasheets, drawings and certificate documents you have asked for, to prepare a quotation where you have requested one, and to ask for any further detail we need in order to reply accurately.
We use it for the purpose you provided it for and for no other purpose, except where you have given your consent or where the law requires otherwise.
Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell, rent, exchange or otherwise pass your personal data to third parties for their own use.
Your data is handled by us and by the service providers who host this website and carry our email on our behalf, who act on our instructions and remain responsible to us. International transfer
LAIWO is based in China. If you contact us from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or elsewhere, the information you send is transferred to and handled at our offices here so that we are able to reply to you.
Retention
We keep what you send us for as long as we may need it in order to deal with your enquiry and any business that follows from it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of text that a website asks your browser to store and return on a later visit.
We ask before we set any. When you first arrive, a notice offers you Accept or Reject, and until you choose Accept, no analytics or advertising cookie is stored. Rejecting is a complete answer: nothing further is asked of you, and every part of the site works exactly the same either way.
If you accept, we use Google Tag Manager to run Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement. These tell us which pages bring buyers to us and which enquiries follow from our advertising. We use them to decide where to put our effort; we do not use them to identify you personally, and we do not sell what they collect.
Google Tag Manager itself loads on every visit, but it is started in a mode that denies storage by default. Before you accept, it records no cookie and can carry no identifier; what reaches Google is limited to a signal that consent has not been given. We are required to send that signal in order to advertise at all in Europe.
Your choice is remembered in your own browser, not on our servers, and applies only to the browser you made it in. You can change it at any time: Privacy settings at the foot of any page brings the notice back.
Product pages include videos hosted on a third-party video platform. Nothing is requested from that platform until you choose to play a video; if you do, that provider may store data in your browser under its own privacy policy, over which we have no control.
Server logs
Like any website, this one is delivered by a web server that records the ordinary technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. These records are used to keep the site available and secure. They are not used to build a profile of you or to track you between visits.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), so information you enter into a form is protected in transit, and access to what you send is restricted to those who need it in order to reply to you.
We take commercially reasonable measures to protect personal data, but no website or email system can be guaranteed against error, interception or intrusion, and we cannot warrant that such events will never occur.
